Cause of death: the autopsy
The pain is real: state laws with dates and 886 GitHub issues mentioning Apple's age-range API since 2025-10-01. But k-ID's AgeKit is 'Free' for '200+ jurisdictions', Apple and Google give the APIs away, and an age-signal API launched in 2026-03 is already 'being retired'. This also killed an earlier farm idea that had rated the jurisdiction feed 21 out of 25.
