Cause of death: the autopsy
A scan of all 6,378 Atlassian cloud apps found almost no big neglected gaps. Three better-rated challengers to the Google Chat app, one free from a Gold partner, get only 4 to 14 installs a month against the abandoned app's 56 to 120. The top 10% of apps hold 87.5% of installs and the median paid app has about 15. Google and Atlassian launched a Confluence-in-Chat integration on 22 September 2026, and Atlassian's own AI now builds small apps for customers. NO-GO at about 80%.
The numbers
None. It was never built, so there are no visitors, sales or ad spend to count. It died on paper, which is the cheapest place to die.
Could rise again if
A free test app reaching 30 or more installs in 30 days would have reopened the channel.
