Cause of death: the autopsy
Four research tracks pointed here and it scored 74, the top of the first shortlist. The validator found CertKit already in the spot: aimed at IT providers, from $99 a month, 600+ beta users and a one-year head start. Monitoring alone is free (Red Sift monitors 250 certificates at no cost), appliance vendors keep adding automatic renewal, and pushing certificates onto client devices carries large liability. Certificate posts were 0.2% of the IT-provider subreddit. NO-GO at about 75%.
The numbers
None. It was never built, so there are no visitors, sales or ad spend to count. It died on paper, which is the cheapest place to die.
