Cause of death: the autopsy
German rules say an ordinary email inbox is enough to receive e-invoices, archiving outside special software is not a VAT breach, and only the XML file needs keeping, so the rendered view has no legal value. The government's free ELSTER viewer tops the search results next to at least 10 free viewers, and DATEV, business banks and accounting tools bundle receiving for free or nearly free. Existing browser extensions had 4 to 93 users. NO-GO at about 80%. (Different from the farm's live invoice checker, which validates invoices.)
The numbers
None. It was never built, so there are no visitors, sales or ad spend to count. It died on paper, which is the cheapest place to die.
