Cause of death: the autopsy
The staleness is real: pyvat (78,313 downloads a month) had all 4 changed rates wrong, and euvatrates.com still served 2016 data. But its pre-set test killed it: free current sources (the EU tax database, ibericode, benbucksch, vatcomply, the sales-tax package) sit on page one and in package managers. A pull-request problem, not a product.

None. It was never built, so there are no visitors, sales or ad spend to count. It died on paper, which is the cheapest place to die.
