Cause of death: the autopsy
Connector apps were the one group of Shopify newcomers that got early traction, and Kaufland seemed to have just one 3.1-star app. But searching 'kaufland' as a merchant would showed six or more vendors, Kaufland says it works with more than 130 software providers, and reviews across every Kaufland-capable app totalled about 235. Earlier supply was undercounted by looking only at app titles. The whole thin-marketplace-connector idea was killed with it.
The numbers
None. It was never built, so there are no visitors, sales or ad spend to count. It died on paper, which is the cheapest place to die.
