Cause of death: the autopsy
Every independent actor in Apify's top 15 by users scrapes LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or Google. Proxycurl, making about $10M a year from LinkedIn data, shut down after LinkedIn sued; hiQ ended with a $500k judgment and a permanent ban; France's privacy regulator fined a LinkedIn contact scraper €240k. With the owner's name on the seller account, these targets were ruled out as a legal kill, not a test.
