Cause of death: the autopsy
The lens's own thesis, killed by its own pre-set test: statuterates.com, a domain registered 2026-07-09, already publishes 114 current values with upcoming changes, sources, RSS, an OpenAPI spec and an AI-agent (MCP) server, free and with no key. Two other rate APIs (payroll taxes at $49 a month, foreign per-diems) were also registered in 2026.
The numbers
None. It was never built, so there are no visitors, sales or ad spend to count. It died on paper, which is the cheapest place to die.
