Cause of death: the autopsy
The forcing date is official and all 3 of the most-used open-source NetSuite SOAP clients (about 530,000 downloads a month) pin an outdated endpoint. But it's a one-shot job with SOAP gone entirely in 2028, NetSuite's own usage log is a free inventory, page one has 8+ consultancy guides, and the open-source fix is one line. The lens kill line was hit 3 of 3.
The numbers
None. It was never built, so there are no visitors, sales or ad spend to count. It died on paper, which is the cheapest place to die.
Could rise again if
If netsuitesdk kept its old default past 2026-12-31 and no free scanner showed up on page one by then.
Evidence
- Lens 55: engine/platform migrations that break unofficial integrations (non-regulatory, dated)
