Cause of death: the autopsy
There is no enforcement date: in August the regulator said 'there is currently no deadline', and the guidelines are drafts until 17 October. The registry charges R0.12 per blocked contact, about R30 a month for a small firm, and there is no API for third parties. Rescored from 17 to 10 out of 25.
The numbers
None. It was never built, so there are no visitors, sales or ad spend to count. It died on paper, which is the cheapest place to die.
Could rise again if
The National Consumer Commission sets an enforcement date and publishes a third-party cleansing API.
