Cause of death: the autopsy
Chrome 141 and Safari 26 turned on the Digital Credentials API, which could cut a check from $0.50-0.80 (document plus selfie) to 0.10 euro or free. But Didit gives 500 free checks a month and AgeCheckAPI charges 0.10 euro, and browser use of the API was only 6.2e-07 of page loads. The buyers forced to accept EU wallets are enterprises.
The numbers
None. It was never built, so there are no visitors, sales or ad spend to count. It died on paper, which is the cheapest place to die.
Could rise again if
npm downloads of the wallet libraries pass 150k a month and a dated wallet-check rule hits small firms, or Chrome use passes 1e-05 of page loads.
